Pedal to the Metal Workflow

When I first saw Jeff’s post on GeniusDV, I was pretty skeptical. But if you think about it, why wouldn’t it be a good idea to incorporate foot pedals into your workflow and put your feet to work? Really.

He’s been looking into incorporating some ergonomic tools from an outfit called Kinesis Corporation. By assigning frequent shortcuts to foot petals you can mark in, mark out, cut or paste with your feet while your hands and brain are two steps ahead. Clearly, this is something that might take a lot of getting used to, but it’s an interesting idea.

Think drummers. Your base drums and tom-tom are just shortcuts for FCP or Avid!
